Tuesday News

Tuesday and the spring weather is here in Omaha. Evan is growing and has gained about 2 pounds and 2 inches since being born about 6 weeks ago. We had a good doctor's visit yesterday and all indications show that he is gaining and growing just fine. He is growing longer by the day and that seems to be where the most improvement is day-to-day. Liz continues to stay home throughout the day with visitors coming and going throughout the last few weeks.

We took our first road trip to a wedding for a in Aurora, Nebraska on Saturday. Evan did a fine job on the car ride there and back. Good preparation for our trip to Brush in early June for the Samples wedding.

I have pictures on my camera that I need to get posted. Nights have been busy with taking care of Evan and relaxing, but I will get them posted soon.

Happy Easter!

Evan is hanging out with Mom, Dad, and Grandma and Grandpa Cook for Easter. I have included pictures from the last week and weekend. The hot air balloon included flew over our house yesterday morning. It was probably only about 50 feet above the house.

Happy Easter!

Who does Evan look like?

The question always arises, "Who does Evan look like". The minute he came to visit us in this world, I had no doubt, but I am leaving that up to you. My dad always makes the comment, "He looks like Evan."

What you do think? Feel free to post a comment.

March ends and April begins

I was reviewing my blog posts and noticed I should be making a prediction on how March would leave us weather wise. It came in like a lamb and if I recall, the weather, the first day of March was fantastic. Well, the month of March left us like both a lamb and lion. It was super windy, but otherwise what I would consider a not-too-bad day. On the home front, March came in like a lamb (without Evan), but let us like a lion as it seems days are crazy adjusting to having him around.

Not much to report from the Cook house. Evan is resting/sleeping in about 3 hour chunks. I got home yesterday after work and he looked like he had grown 6 inches. Maybe it was the outfit. Liz is staying home during the day this week with Grandma Joy and I am at work full-time. Grandma Sandy gets here tomorrow through Easter.

Evan is now just over 15 days old. More pictures will be coming and posts regarding his name and your choice on who Evan looks more like. Have a great upcoming weekend!
